Our client based in Durban is requiring a EE Group HR Executive.  Ideal candidate must have  an NQF Level 8 qualificaitons at least 8 years generalist experience and 5 years in a managerial role

Developed strategic ability, able to plan, develop and execute an integrated HR Strategic Plan in line with Global Strategy.

Budget management experience

Extensive knowledge of compensation and benefits as well as Talent and Development systems

Duties & Responsibilities

HR Strategy and formulation:

Compile and implement HR Initiatives which support the overall Group and HR Strategy.

Provide strategic insight into all projects and initiatives that will have an impact on the people

Employee Relations Management;

Ensure Group disciplinary procedure and code is applied consistently across the Group.

Identify any IR Risks and trends and develop a strategy to address this.

Ensure effective management and resolution of internal and external disputes/

HR Governance;

Develop, communicate and implement relevant HR Polices and Procedures and ensure compliance

Talent Management;

Manage recruitment and selection across the group

Implement career and success planning to ensure availability of critical skills.

Develop and implement relevant employee retention strategies to motivate and retain talent.

Build employee capacity through skills training, mentoring and coaching.

Legal Compliance;

Ensure full compliance to current and future employment legislation

Ensure submission of all required legal reports to mitigate all legal risks.

Organisational Effectiveness;

Roll out climate surveys from time to time.

Ensure effective interventions are rolled out to address survey findings.

Group Performance Management system

Organisational Change, Culture and Values;

Build a strong brand to attract talent in the organisation.

Provide change management support to line managers

Support and spearhead all organisation culture shaping inititiatives

HR Systems and Reporting;

Ensure HR supports are updated to support business.

Implement HR reporting mechanisms and systems;

Relationship Management;

Manage on going relationships with Trade Unions and other employee representative bodies.

Liaise with SETA and other relevant bodies.

Management of Compensation and Benefits;

Review company reward strategy and adjust remuneration elements according to business strategy.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Tertiary qualification in HR NQF level 8

Min 8 years in a generalist role with at least 5 years in a management role

Developed strategic ability and indepth commercial understanding

Budget management

Ability to develop and execute a strategy
